The church opens Easter Sunday for all to unite by faith or letter and to baptize children during morning and afternoon services. A special offering will be taken, with a full program directed by L. E. Bennett. The program includes doxology, readings, solos, duets, scripture, an anthem, and baptisms.
Citizens and residents are ordered to remove rubbish from yards and business premises. Teama will be provided to haul away the collected waste. By order of the Town Council. Ladies requested to view Crepe de Chene handkerchiefs at the Big Piney Mercantile Company.
Manager Parrish of the Pinedale Telephone company reports the past week saw the transfer from the old to the new switchboard completed yesterday and he praises the board as one of the best. He says service improved and the investment will prove profitable.

Water users are informed that the Superintendent of Water Division No 4 will meet at specified locations to take proof and adjust matters. Dates include Boulder May 11th Pinedale May 12 13 Daniel May 17 and Big Piney May 18 19. R E Carron Superintendent Water Division No 4.
A big basketball game is scheduled for April 20 1916 with admission set at ten and twenty five cents. The article notes the last public game of the season and recalls two prior games: April 6 a 9 to 2 win for the Blacks and April 10 a 10 to 6 win for the Blacks.
April 12 1916 notes greet new neighbors Chet Chrisman and family. Visitors include Mr and Mrs A Moffat at Dan Muirs and Mr and Mrs Henry Budd's family. School opens April 17 with Mrs Stanley teaching again. Better Neighbors group met April 6 at Mrs W W Horn's. next gathering with Mr and Mrs Moffat on April 28. Dan Muir and George Thompson visited Riney on Monday. A Moffat and son Frank left for Opal for about ten days.

Mrs Emma Sorg died April 6 at her Birch Creek home after a twelve year illness leaving husband Frederick and two children Carl Sorg and Mrs Elfin Thompson. She was born February 26 1860 in Germany and married Feb 28 1870. Funeral sermon by Elder E H Curtis in Cheyenne. burial at Viola LaBarge cemetery. She was a Lutheran church member and the family receives heartfelt sympathy.
Mrs. Alice Smith died April 5 1916 at the home of Mr and Mrs Frank Burney from tuberculosis. Funeral services were at the home by Woodmen of the World with Rev JD Reese. Interment in Big Piney cemetery. She was born October 31 1891 near Green Forest Arkansas and married James Smith September 13 1908. They had recently moved to Big Piney. She leaves a mother and grandfather and many relatives.
Residents welcomed a new auto truck mail service with Orval Allen driving and Mr Holliday aboard. Holliday plans two trucks in service and daily runs from Daniel to Pinedale by stage, promising same day mail upon arrival.
Zephyrs from LaBarge reports a howling blizzard on April 5 1916 and broad frigid weather that stalls grass growth. James W Jones baptized April 1 joins Seventh Day Adventist faith. Mr and Mrs Thompson of Birch Creek plan to move back to Arkansas. Local residents bid farewell to departing neighbors and welcome back Kahl to Wyoming LaBarge oil fields.
The Big Piney Card Club will end its third season with an April 28 reception and dance for members and guests. The previous gathering at the teachers’ home featured Miss Goodwin as hostess, card games until midnight, lunch, and prizes. Nels Christensen won first prize, a book, and Walter Vose took consolation, a miniature wash tub.
Little Edith and Gordon Guyette ride with papa at P. P. and Oliver Twichel homes. C. M. Daniels plans to dispose of his interests to a Sublette, Wyoming, gentleman. B. M. Fox from Mountain Meadow ranch aims to sell his Viola valley interests soon. Dehorning bee at Joshua Twichel home efficient, though not painless. Wm Sladerman served as mail carrier for Mountain View Sunday with a pack horse. Mrs J. H. Guyette ill with rheumatism. Viola sheep men complete lambing with strong profits. Mrs J. W. Jones resigns Viola postmistress effective April 1. Office to move soon. Wm Reeves to close successful Viola term. discipline praised.
