Friends in Daniel gathered last Saturday evening to surprise Mr and Mrs Will Payne with dancing, cards, and refreshments. The hosts Fayne greeted guests warmly and thanked them for attending as everyone enjoyed the evening and departed in good spirits.
Sublette residents announce Dr. McDill from Sublette plans to join the local practice on the 15th. Dr. Ripp of Provo and Dr. Perkins of Missouri are also arriving to enter medicine here near North Piney bench by John Budd. The note warns the town may have more doctors than it can support and hopes an arrangement to supply Piney with a good physician is made.
Oscar Beck leaves today for Omaha to buy bulls for stockmen and to seek medical treatment from a leading specialist for a long standing rectal disorder that has kept him home recently.
Mr M O Burnitt of Bondurant traveled through town to reach his ill mother in Calvert Texas after eighteen years apart. The school board met at Oscar Beck's home Sunday to conduct business awaiting the return of J C Dodd the insurer. The pleasant spring sunshine dries ponds after the recent storm.

A telegram reports Dan Budd son of Mr and Mrs C P Budd suffered a broken leg when a horse fell on him while he drove horses to Big Piney. The injury occurred about two inches above the ankle and Dr Stafford of Kemmerer attended him. He arrived by auto via Slate Creek and LaBarge and reached Piney yesterday to be with the boy.
George Huddleston has relocated to Piney joining William Baldwin. They rented Curtis house west of town and moved their goods yesterday. The move adds to Big Piney’s growing population nearing two hundred residents.
