The State Bank of Big Piney has elected James Mickelson president. Directors chose him at a Kemmerer meeting. the bank aims to broaden local involvement while retaining strong state-backed banking ties to handle all legitimate business with careful account service.
Three $100 scholarships initiated by L. Mills C. L. Wagner and the Laramie Republican aim to fund more than two dozen future scholars from outside Albany county. The program seeks Patriotism and affordability, with further additions planned to broaden access to University of Wyoming education. Judge Dodge remains ill in office building. Notice to the public. J. B. Irvine announces plans to build a two story cement block store building and bank at Marbleton. He has contracted with C. Budd of Marbleton Townite Co. and will begin around April 6. He invites potential workers in his line to contact him.
Laws passed at the last session affect livestock interests. An estray is any animal found on public or private lands with unknown owner. Individuals may not take up an estray outside their county and must inspect brands with two witnesses, notifying the state stock commissioners. Unclaimed animals are processed after formal steps, with keeper charges capped at ten cents per day. Failure to report to the board may incur fines and imprisonment.
