Maine to Receive Four Iron Lungs for Polio Fight

Michigan family lost in boat accident on Lake McKeever

In Michigan, a family outing ended in tragedy when a 12 foot boat capsized 40 feet from shore on Lake McKeever. Leonard Larson, 42, survivor, watched wife Dora 41 and ten children plus his brother Harry 64 drown. Doris May, 16, survived by staying away at school. The uncle owned the boat and worked at a local sawmill.
