Pleads Guilty in York County Robbery case
Kenneth F. Chenette, 97, of Concord New Hampshire pleaded guilty to assault with intent to kill, robbery and related charges for the Old Orchard Beach picnic grove crime against Maurice Couture and his wife. He was sentenced to a total 180 years by Judge Leonard F. Williams with concurrent runs and no mercy requested by the state. Brown remains at large.

National Guard units in Saco mobilized quickly after a statewide practice alert at 7 30 PM. FA Howitzer Battery 105SP 1st Armored Cavalry Regiment and Troop D 1st Squadron gathered at the armory and prepared clothing equipment and weapons within minutes. By an hour 80 percent of local guardsmen were mobilized and 50 percent had gathered within 30 minutes.
