Democrat John A. Durkin declared his clear victory in New Hampshire’s Senate runoff a message to President Ford and Congress that voters are fed up with politics as usual. He said the public wanted change and pledged to work hard as a senator.
Biddeford city council voted to hire legal counsel to aid possible condemnation after learning OSP Associates could not secure financing to renovate 1 3 Main St building. Officials cited a tight money market and potential adverse publicity from the housing inspector as factors. The council authorized the finance committee to hire an attorney to determine city involvement and costs.
Biddeford council discusses three proposed charter revisions at a Tuesday meeting.
