Negotiators Remain At Odds In Textile Strike In Connecticut
In Danielson Connecticut negotiators failed to reach a settlement in a six day old textile workers strike at Danielson Finishing Co while Putnam-Herzl Finishing Co. reached a one year pact with Local 1462 of the Textile Workers Union of America giving 11 cents an hour raise retroactive to Oct 1 and 22 cents on April 1 1960 plus fringe benefits. Danielson offers seven cents an hour with January gains of four cents previously. About 125 workers at Danielson and 150 at Putnam. Wage scales unavailable.
