Nick Gillis A lifelong Biddeford bowling icon
Nick Gillis, a 50plus bowler and entrepreneur in Biddeford, Maine, recalls starting as a pinboy at Anton's alleys. He credits Billy Manning with refining his game, earned Maine singles titles, and, with wife Doris, became a Maine Hall of Fame husband and wife team and National Mixed Doubles champion. Now managing 20th Century Lanes, he laments pinboys but stays active, mentoring youth and adult leagues while defying age with a lifelong passion for bowling.
