Bay State Man Gravely Wounded
A 15 year old Skowhegan boy was found shot to death near his home while hunting yester noon. Michael Vitalone son of Mr and Mrs Peter Vitalone was found by wardens and deputies about 10 30 am off the state highway between Skowhegan and Waterville. An investigation is under way to determine if the fatal wound came from the .22 rifle the boy used or another weapon. Anothe hunting accident left 42 year old William Nason of Cohasset Mass gravely wounded at Knox in Waldo County, hit by a bullet from a 30 30 rifle fired by 16 year old Carl Thomas of Knox. The 17th hunting mishap this season, Moore in Canaan was the second fatality. Wardens reported a 34 year old Walpole Mass man William R Bennett fined 500 for negligently shooting a human. Edwin Bell 50 of Sherman Mills remained missing in a tangled northern Maine wilderness.

Saco Cat Turns 29 At Home Of Mrs Lottie Clark
Ginger the ginger cat aged 29 lives with Mrs Lottie Clark at 417 Ferry road Saco and has shared the home with several other pets for nearly three decades. Mrs Clark recalls Ginger’s losses including sight of her left eye and diminishing hearing yet remains cared for and content. Ginger once bore kittens yearly and even slept atop a parrot’s cage. Other animals include Teddy a 10 year old son of Ginger, a yellow cat named Cheetah, a five year old Handsome two dogs Baby and Skippy eight or nine squirrels and birds fed at the Clark table. Ginger is now kept indoors due to age and sight.

DETROIT AP The Teamsters Union will spend 250000 a month on a political action program before the 1960 elections. President James R Hoffa said the campaign will be grassroots and target congressmen who backed Landrum-Griffin reform. Hoffa estimated 15 cents per member per month, about three million dollars yearly, with quarterly membership around 1672006. He criticized Sen Hubert Humphrey Minn and Gov G Mennen Williams and said they were liberal or wealthy. He added they do not support spoiled millionaires like John Kennedy.
