Cantara Endorsed for Biddeford Mayor by Local Club

Daniel P. Cantara, a restaurant operator and former tax collector, won the Democratic endorsement for Biddeford mayor at a meeting of the Biddeford Democratic Social Club. Mayor Edward F. Gaulin said he will not seek re election, citing family and law practice obligations. Cantara, 54, of 106 Elm St., is married with five children and plans an announcement soon.
