Emmy Awards Critic Sees Need For Reform In Nighttime Show
AP writer Jay Sharbutt vents at the Emmy telecast calling it dull and overrun with category splits and winner announcements. He notes 111 Emmys awarded, a pace he deems excessive, and urges the academy to simplify and refocus on core performers and creators citing the critics’ fatigue with the current format. He also highlights a local theater announcement for Arsenic and Old Lace at Saco City Hall Auditorium.
