Skier Injured In Mt Washington Fall
A Pennsylvania skier, Eric Walgren 21 of Pittsburgh, fell about 15 feet into a crevasse on Mount Washington hill known as Hillman's Highway. He suffered critical skull fractures and cerebral contusions and was transferred from AMC shelter to St. Louis Hospital in Berlin New Hampshire and then Lewiston Maine for emergency care. Witnesses included hutmaster Robert Sullivan and USFS snow ranger Leavitt Bowie who aided the rescue.
