Icelandic landscapes and fishing roots in twenty century notes
Photographs and text by Lynn Hower recount her 1974 visit to Iceland from Biddeford. The piece highlights Icelandic geography with scarce trees and limited agriculture, notes fish as a vital traditional resource, and recalls the North Atlantic voyage of ancestors some 1 100 years ago.
