Jordan Co report on Gibbs Oil refin­ery construction in Sanford estimates minimal housing, services, schooling, and recreation impacts in Southern Maine during the three year build start­ing 1976. It projects significant regional benefits and notes that 3,100 workers peak during early 1978, with most commuting from Maine and New Hampshire.

Exxon Fights Tax Bill On Kennebunk Turnpike Stations

Exxon Corp seeks $5,395.68 in tax refunds for two Maine Turnpike service stations in Kennebunk after denial of a tax abatement. Attorney Thomas Shulton filed suit in Superior Court alleging the properties are owned by the Maine Turnpike Authority and exempt from taxation. Fire police complex draws nearer at Old Orchard Beach

Tape Gap Report Due Saturday

Washington AP two members of the expert panel studying the 18 and one half minute gap in the White House Watergate tape will present their report to U.S. District Judge John J. Sirica. York County Community College visits boost bright prospects
