Primo Carnera Dies In Italy
Primo Carnera known as The Ambling Alp and 1933 world heavyweight champion died in his birthplace of a mountain town in Italy at age 60. He suffered cirrhosis of the liver and had returned from the United States last month. He had been in a coma for almost a week before death. Carnera won the heavyweight title on June 29, 1933.
