Paul Stebbins, Biddeford High principal, will be assistant director of the Neighborhood Youth Corps under Plamondon. A full time summer staff will supervise, with additional part time supervisors to be named. Youths will be assigned across participating agencies.

One hundred ten high school teachers from 24 states and the District of Columbia join Union College's eight week program to boost subject matter competence. Robert Morrison of Old Orchard Beach Maine, Scarborough High School, is among the participants. The institute leads to a Master of Science for Teachers degree and is open to biology chemistry earth science mathematics and physics teachers. The program is funded by the National Science Foundation.

Lyman Baptist Church at Goodwins Mills hosts Sunday school at 11 with Rev. Sidney F. Whitehouse as pastor. The Methodist Church on the Cape lists morning worship at 9 45 and Sunday service at 11 guided by Rev. Luther Jose.
