Davis Trial Recaps Davis Waiver Of Rights
In the Davis murder trial, Judge Rubin ruled Walter E. Davis Jr knew his rights and gave an intelligent waiver before police questioning on Dec. 3. Testimony by detectives Greely and Capt. Nason, challenged by the defense, was permitted. Davis, testifying later, said he was medicated with copills before the questioning and could not recall being told of rights. He recalled being shaken awake and losing memory of much of that session.
