An Ogunquit man sustained injuries when a truck struck a pole along Route 1 causing a southbound traffic blockage for about 90 minutes. Trooper Hollis G. Dixon assisted at the scene. Power in the Wells area was off for a little over an hour while Central Maine Power crews replaced the pole.
A judge notes that windbreaks of plants can conserve fuel by keeping houses warmer in winter and cooler in summer. Plant barriers provide shade and reduce heating and cooling loads.

Howard Littlefield aged 46 of Ogunquit was treated at York Village hospital for injuries and released. The pickup was a total loss. State Police Trooper Sherwood Baston is investigating.

Auger lost control of a convertible on South Street and crashed into a utility pole. damage to vehicles was not estimated.
