Children were honored during Children’s Day at Biddeford United Baptist Church. Rev. Robert Perrigo led the service assisted by Bertha Dawn Tracy Roy Cheryl Stewart and Dawn Isaac. Recitations were performed by a long list of children and James MacLean presented plants. Guest speaker Rev. Morris Hutchins from Stroudwater Baptist Church spoke at the evening service. Jennifer Elisabeth and Sarah Marie Perrigo were dedicated to the Lord. Daily Vacation Bible School is set for June 21 to 25 from 9 to 11 30 a m.

VA nurses face murder charges in Ann Arbor case
FBI filed an indictment in Detroit charging Narciso and Perez with murdering five patients and poisoning 10 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Ann Arbor. Authorities link deaths to pancuronium bromide. Narciso 30 of Ypsilanti and Perez 31 of Evanston face arraignment. both worked at VA facilities and are charged with conspiracy to commit first degree murder.

A second floor blaze at Shenandoah Homes in Roanoke sent heavy smoke through the six story building. Four residents died and 24 were hospitalized for heart attack burns or smoke inhalation as about 82 residents found shelter with the Red Cross.
