Kennedy condemned the adamant stance and warned of harm to the economy.
Detroi t AP Union officials warned that bar hood s doors and roofs at Ford plants faced long closures as talks with Ford Motor Co stalled. More than 50 000 Ford workers nationwide were expected to return to Walton Hills stamping back to work after an Ohio strike disrupted supply lines and halted assembly operations.
