The prosecution outlines time of death in the late hours of July 8 or early July 9 and links DeWitt to the victim at a Green Wave Bar and Granite Point before returning to the Washington Street home. The defense urges doubt as circumstantial evidence and notes the delay in discovery of a coat with blood traces. The first witness described smelling gas and locating the victim’s apartment.
