Lt Parker F Hennessey Auburn native and criminal investigation specialist was confirmed by Gov Clauson and the Executive Council as deputy chief of the State Police. The vote followed controversy over the nomination by Chief Robert Marx. Hennessey will earn 149 a week and holds the rank of major. He succeeds Maj Donald M Herron who retired Jan 10 after 20 years.
