At Sasebo Japan 3000 protesters from the Democratic Socialist Party marched against the nuclear powered carrier Enterprise arriving from Hawaii en route to Vietnam base calm prevailed after four clashes injuring 465 people including 260 police 180 students 25 bystanders. Police arrested 66 students and 700 more students remained in the area.
