Experts say no single act erased Watergate tape

Technical experts told a federal court that an accidental act did not cause the 18.5 minute gap in the subpoenaed Watergate tape. Unemployed Numbers Rise As York County Feels Winter

Kyros Meets Maine Officials on Energy Crisis and Policy

U S Rep Peter N Kyros D Maine met Biddeford and Saco industry reps and citizens to discuss energy emergency legislation. Getty Kidnapping arrests in Italy during ransom case

In Rome and Calabria police arrested three men linked to the J Paul Getty III kidnapping and sought a fourth. A cache of ransom notes was found possibly connected to the 2.7 million dollar payout. Arrested were Domenico Barbino in Rome, Vincenzo Mammoliti and Antonio Mancuso in Calabria. One ear of Getty had been mailed as intimidation.
