Victor Guertin enters York County sheriff race in bid

Victor E. Guertin announced in Biddeford that he has taken out nomination papers for York County sheriff, challenging Harold R. Nason who seeks renomination. Guertin, a clothing salesman since 1925 and WW III Navy yard worker, cites dissatisfaction with the current sheriff's department. Also in the Democratic field is Jo Vallely of Sanford for York County Register of Probate, a Sanford lawyer and former legislator with prior service in education and the Elks and Knights of Columbus organizations.
