Loot From Waterboro Store Break Recovered
York county Sheriff's department aims to continue dragging a channel between Mousam lake and Lower Mousam, Acton, to locate five missing rifles from the Owen store break in Waterboro on January 20. Fourteen rifles valued at about $1,000 were recovered yesterday, but darkness halted further dragging. Three Sanford youths admitted the break and said they dumped 19 of 22 rifles into the lake. They face charges of breaking and entering and larceny, with extradition to be discussed at a Rockaway hearing. Authorities also seek warrants for additional items and ammunition.
