Sunshine Patriot features two hours of drag differ
Cynthia Lowry reviews NBCs two hour made for TV film The Sunshine Patriot noting a strong cast and promising premise but a fragile script. Cliff Robertson plays dual roles as Agent Ross and a businessman, with Dina Merrill in a lackluster performance. Padding drags pacing while the conclusion leaves the mission incomplete. Elvis Presley TV special dominates the Dec 2–9 period Nielsen ratings, with three specials in the top five. CBSs A Charley Brown Christmas and NBCs Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer are among the top specials. Rowans and Martins regulars appear as the only regular series in the elite list.
