SFC President Urges Community Ties for College Growth
St Francis College President Robert L. Horn urged stronger community partnership during the Associates dinner in Biddeford. He outlined growth to 850 students and 200 staff by 1980, a budget rise from 2 to 5 million, and a 10 million area economic impact. He proposed shared recreational and cultural resources, low cost student housing, a new health complex with public access, and a campus waterfront picnic area. He noted new programs in international business and French resources, plus ongoing cooperation with Biddeford High School, CCD classes, and adult education. Members will form committees at a Jan 23 meeting to implement these projects.
