ALFRED AP A University of Maine professor of chemical engineering testified that propane gas leakage could have formed an explosive air mixture at the York Biscuit Co. plant in Biddeford, helping explain a May 1959 destruction. Dr. Richard E. Durst said a crawl space with high gas concentration and 60 percent floor coverage could allow gas and air to reach a refrigeration area ignition point. Witness Edward Gallagher argued a spark from a refrigeration motor could ignite such a blast. The Biscuit Co. seeks 230000 in damages from Biddeford Saco Gas Co.

The case against Mrs. Stanley Kozloff 33 of Heathroad Saco for firing three rifle shots at her brother in law's low flying airplane was continued until Monday with bail set at 1000 dollars. The pilot Walter Kozloff also of Heathroad faced a separate charge over a similar incident and was bailed. The feud within the Kozloff family over flying continues with police noting the feud began a month ago. HYANNIS PORT Mass AP Walter Reuther leader of the United Auto Workers endorsed Kennedy Johnson ticket saying labor will back the ticket after a Kennedy Johnson news conference on the Kennedy lawn. He spoke on behalf of labor supporting the two candidates. Kennedy said Nixon accuses him of paying a price for labor. De Reuther said labor will work hard for Kennedy and Johnson.
