Family Of Seven Loses Home In Biddeford
A family of seven including Hermond Mortotte and wife with children Nancy Judy Barbara Donna and Gilbert were left homeless when a fire gutted their story and a half home at 394 West Street Biddeford Monday afternoon. Fire officials said the blaze started in a closet on the first floor and spread to four rooms and into the attic before being extinguished. The parents were at work when the fire began and a rabbit and parakeet perished. Damage estimates were not available. Alarm at 4 54 pm engine crews 3 and 5 and Tank 1 responded with recall at 5 46 pm.
