Firemen's Contract Accepted in Old Orchard Beach

The newly formed firefighters union and the town council settled a pay and benefits agreement after months of talks. The contract runs Jan 1 1974 to March 31 1975 with a 30-cent hourly raise about 12 percent, effective May 1.
