Italian immigrant dies of heart attack after auto crash
Kacoree Pistone 47, known as Bocha, died Saturday at Grand View hospital after sustaining injuries from being struck by an auto driven by Earl Shogren of Ramsay. He developed a heart ailment post accident, had prior leg fractures, and was employed in local mines. Survived by parents and two sisters, funeral held at St. Sebastian church with burial at Hillcrest cemetery.

Marie Laitala Elganess of Ramsay died from injuries after an auto accident near Minocqua last Thursday. Her husband Alf Elganess and six year old son Richard survived along with her Ram say parents. Funeral held at Vaughn Marquis Memorial Chapel in Ramsay with burial at Hillcrest Cemetery in Bessemer.

Wilkins To Collect Taxes At Home Office

Man Who Passed Bad Checks Nabbed at Gladstone
William P. Hudson a 44 year old check forger was arrested Monday at Gladstone Michigan. He had escaped from the Wisconsin State prison farm at McNaughton last April and had a year to serve on a Wisconsin forgery conviction. He admitted passing $4200 in fraudulent checks in Ironwood Wakefield Bessemer Ishpeming Marquette Rockland Escanaba and Iron Mountain. He said he hid a check writing machine and blank checks under a tie pile by the South Shore railroad at Thomaston.

Former Ramsay resident dies in Detroit pneumonia
Helge Jussila aged 33, once of Ramsay, died in a Detroit hospital after pneumonia struck him Thursday. Born July 28, 1908, in erowa he later lived at Newport Crossing Ironwood. Funeral held. survivors include his father Matt in Newport, wife Marian Semenak of Ironwood Norie location, two daughters Jean Ann and Harlene Joan, sister Helen of Ironwood, and brothers Heino of Ewen and Hedvig of Detroit.

Not Guilty Verdict in Deer Case Against Two Wisconsinites
A court day long trial in Justice Baird's court ended with a not guilty verdict for Glen Atkins of Watersmeet and Wilmer Pitts of Land O Lakes, Wis, accused of shooting a deer before deer season opened on October 22. The case relied on circumstantial evidence including a shotgun found in the vehicle. Defense was by William F. Pellew of Bessemer. Jury members were Charles Edwards, William Gerry, Clarence Brydes, Melvin Solberg, Bruno Crenna, and Peter Pricco.
