Werner A Johnson a 1920 Bessemer High School graduate and Sunday Lake mine supply clerk died suddenly after noon last Thursday from a heart attack at age 51. Born August 4 1901 in Bessemer he worked at Anvil and Isabelle mines before moving to Sunday Lake at Plymouth location. He leaves a widow and three children with funeral services at Finnish Lutheran church officiated by Rev Herman Matero. Burial was in Hillrest cemetery. Pallbearers were six former 1919 Bessemer football teammates.

Clarence Jacobson 26 of Colby died at Grand View hospital from infection after a gunshot wound in the right leg sustained near Cisco Lake. The weapon discharged while shift from brother in law John Pingel of Wakefield. He was injured Saturday, aided by Pingel, and died after gas bacillus infection developed. Voters to Get Two Big Ballots on Election Day
The general election on Tuesday will give each voter two official ballots. One lists ward and county candidates for federal state and local offices. the other covers eight amendments to the Michigan constitution and a referendum on the 1931 oleomargarine act. Funeral services for Michael Czajkowski aged 52 were held Monday at St. Sebastian's Church with Rev. C J Swoboda officiating.
