Mr and Mrs Castle Host Surprise Postnuptial Party
Mr and Mrs Jack Castle celebrated their recent marriage with a surprise party at their city home. The couple wed April 18 in a nuptial Mass at St Sebastian church at 6 30 am officiated by Rev Robert Monroe. Attendants included Mrs Mario Regis Rhinelander Wis and George Mussatti Bessemer. The event was arranged by Mrs Albert Marinetti. A chest of silver was presented. The Junior Court of the Women's Catholic Order of Foresters will honor mothers at a tea May 16 at 2 pm in Elks club rooms with refreshment chairs Mrs John Novascone and Mrs Louis Perotti. The program is led by Junior Court directors, Mrs Bernard Proft and Mrs Roman Czajkowski.

John Babich found dead by sheriff after missing case
John Babich 61 of Anvil was found dead by Sheriff Frank Perlieh at 4:40 p.m. Tuesday about a quarter mile west of Chaney Lake Road three miles south of Wakefield. He died by hanging, after a two year illness left him in a depressed state. He left Sunday afternoon without notice, prompting a search by state police and local officers. Survived by his wife Mary, son John Babich Jr, four daughters, five grandchildren and one sister. He was born in St George Yugoslavia in 1891 and had lived in Ironwood and Anvil, working at Pick and Mather, Newport Mine, and Anvil Mine. He attended Church of Christ the King Ramsay and Slovene National Society Tronwood. He married in 1913.
