George St. John Early Pioneer Dies Of Heart Ailment
George St John Sr. 74, a long time Bessemer pioneer and respected resident, died Thursday morning at Grand View hospital from a heart ailment. Born February 21 1879 in Champion Michigan, he moved to Bessemer in 1885 with his parents. He worked on the railroad and for 35 years as district distributor for Hercules Powder. He married Anna Kolinsky in 1898. she died in 1910. Surviving: one son George Jr., five daughters, 15 grandchildren, six great grandchildren. Funeral was held Tuesday at 9 am at St Sebastian church. Pallbearers included Jacob Winkowski and other locals.

At a Bes semer Township Business and Professional Men's Club meeting held in Ramsay American Legion Clubrooms David R. Rizzie was unanimously reelected to lead the club. Anton Wysoski was chosen as vice president for another year Edwin Smith named secretary treasurer. Bernard Deviette earned a gift for organizing a chicken supper.

Mrs. Emil Hoeft Dies in Ashland
Catherine M. Hoeft aged 51 of 511 Division St Hurley died after a lingering illness at an Ashland hospital where she had been a patient since February 5. Born October 29 1901 in Hurley she lived in the area all her life. She married Emil Hoeft of Bessemer on November 3 1922. He survives.

Body of Capt Fauhl to be buried in Bessemer
The body of Capt Stuart Fauhl who was killed in a Newfoundland RB-36 crash last week is being brought to Bessemer for funeral services and burial this week. He will be escorted by Capt Wilks of Rapid City Air Force base. Parents Mr and Mrs William B Fauhl and relatives have traveled from Rapid City to be with the family as arrangements are finalized.

Augusta Gustafson 81, born March 7 1872 in Sweden, died last Friday in Richland Washington after leaving Bessemer five years ago to live with her daughter. Survived by one daughter, four grandchildren, two sisters and four great grandchildren. preceded by three sons and another daughter. Services at Sharon Lutheran Church with Eastern Star rites at Masonic Temple, interment at Hillscrest Cemetery.
