County Board Proceedings Summary of Claims and Actions

The Gogebic County Board of Commissioners adjourned after approving a lengthy claims list including payments to Jos Michela, T A Kelly, Leonard Kaulasavicz and others for general and jail expenses, and to The Wakefield Advocate for printing. They moved to adopt the committee report on claims, grant recess, and then reconvened with roll call. They also discussed car approvals for the Agricultural Agent and mine inspector, and directed county cars to carry state property plates.

Deer season expanded and licensing revised in Michigan bill

A senate bill by Senator Truettner proposes deer season from November 29 to 30, allowing killing of one male deer and lowering non resident license fees to 25 dollars. Another measure by Senator Cummins would ban nets except minnows and limit cisco nets to November 15 to December 10 in St Joseph county.
