The Lady Maccabee society picnic scheduled for Wednesday at H. J. Hansen cottage on Lake Gogebic has been postponed to a later date.
Sunday school begins at 10:00 with Superintendent Herbert Johnson. Morning worship at 11:00 led by Rev. F. H. Sullivan, formerly pastor of Oak Park church, Flint. H. C. Cooley serves as pastor.
Miss Margaret Jacobson of Ramsay and Miss Evonne Jacquart of Iron Wood, teachers in Bessemer township schools, left Friday to attend the summer session at Northwestern University in Evanston Illinois.

The Bessemer township board will close the Ramsay town hall second floor until September 1 for repairs. The auditorium opens July 5 for the Legion post Independence Day dance.

Bridesmaids Irma Miskovich Ann Orevecs and groomsmen Michael Buchko Felix oh attended the couple. The Oreveczes will reside Iron Street Bessemer. groom son of Steve Orevecs Sr Anvil and employed by Pickands Mather Co. The bride is daughter of Mr and Mrs Mike Miskovich Erwin township.
Mrs Alfred Erickson was chosen as delegate to the Upper Peninsula convention with Mrs Henry Ellis named as alternate. The Auxiliary observes memorial services at the Presbyterian church and plans a July 8 picnic at Lake Gogebic state park. Poppies sold reach 366 in the township.
Naturany evening ceremony at 8 o clock united Miss Rigoni daughter of Mr and Mrs Anton Rigoni and Wayne Sarvana son of Mr and Mrs John Huttu. Rev C J Swoboda officiated at St Sebastian parsonage with attendants Kathleen Quigley and John Kaara. The couple will reside in essemer. Mr Sarvana works for Fox Valley Construction Co road contractors.
