Gogebic County approves tax apportionment and borrows funds
On October 21 1932 the Gogebic County Board of Supervisors adopted the tax apportionment report for state county and county road taxes and approved local tax allocations for several townships and cities. The board authorized borrowing from Gogebic banks totaling 625 000 with interest at 3 percent to cover current expenses and set a sinking fund equal to 25 percent of unpaid taxes. The meeting also elected county road commissioners canvassers and other officials and adjourned to November 17 1934.
