WANTS GAME LAWS REVISED FROM OCTOBER OPENING
An upper peninsula exchange reports Manising’s Grand Ishind Rod & Gan club pledging to aid game wardens and press amendments. Proposed changes include deer season opening Oct 10 and closing Oct 30, licenses issued in hunting county with township clerk certification, one deer per person, and trout season May 15 to Aug 15. The group notes opposition may arise from hunters preferring later snow for tracking wounded deer.
