Bessemer City Council OKs Becker Sewer Contract
Regular adjourned meeting of the common council of Bessemer notes contract with Peter Becker to lay and construct the new main line trunk sewer. Bond and labor and material bonds totaling 12,000 dollars are recommended for ratification. Board of Public Works to contract Becker for an additional 500 feet at 1.75 per foot. Railway objections prompt authorized negotiators to seek an amicable arrangement with Chicago and North Western. Continued on page 4.

Arrests Made In Black River Fish Blasting Case
Frank Zuka and Amelio Negri were arrested last Monday and brought before Justice Anderson by Deputy Game Warden Peter Rasmussen on charges of blasting fish near Dam No 2 in Black River. Their trial was postponed until next week.
