Commencement and Glass Day at Bessemer Schools
The annual commencement events in Bessemer wrap twelve years of study for the Class of 1903. The program includes the eighth grade play The Courtship of Miles Standish, a baccalaureate sermon by Rev. John Erickson, and the Class Day exercises led by Miss Tilda Backon. Pertinent talks emphasize building a foundation in Christ, duty, and service, with the diplomas to be presented by Principal W. W. Talcott and Superintendent J. S. Butler’s prior address noted.
