Bessemer School Revenue Situation Continues
The Bessemer school seeks more revenue to cover a $69,000 budget with $31,050 needed for operation and only $2,000 for non-salary items. Local taxes, state aid, and bonds would fund salaries and debt service, but the tax limit threatens nine months of normal instruction and room for pupils, urging a June 11 vote to sustain current education.
