Firefighters form water bucket brigade at Ironton attic blaze
Firemen answered a call at the home of Iver Bradley in Ironton on Sunday for an attic fire. Smoke filled the attic and roof area before the ore department stopped the blaze. With access required, a water bucket brigade formed to reach the Pamp 21 Ironton mine, aiding extinguishment.

Death claims Mrs. John Cibolski aged 66
Mrs. John Cibolski aged 66 of Ramsar area died Monday at 3 PM after stomach trouble. Funeral services were held at Sebastian Church the next morning with Rev Charles Swoboda officiating. Burial followed at Hillcrest Cemetery. She was born in Poland on April 15 1867 and immigrated to America in 1886. She was a Gold Star mother of the Ramsar American Legion Fritz Frederikson Post No 354. Surviving are her husband and numerous relatives including children and grandchildren.

Four Injured In Auto Crash Near Wakefield
On U S 2 east of Wakefield a Saturday crash left four people injured. August Mitchell of Watersmeet and Melbourne Rund of Bessemer drove the two cars. Frances LeMieux, nine, fractured her left leg. Grace Mitchell and Mrs. LeMieux had body bruises and a small head bruise. Louis Osier of Wakefield had facial cuts and a fractured nose. Mitchell and passengers were treated and discharged. Osier and the LeMieux girl were hospitalized briefly.
