County board meetings review extensive claims and payments across departments. Notable items include jail and general expenses from County Road Commission,Printing and telegraph services, and numerous court and agris expenses. Recess taken to finalize equalization plans and approve a 14000 loan for the Gogebic County Fair cattle pavilion project.
The report recommends that the total valuations in the equalized column stand as the equalized values for Gogebic County for tax apportionment in 1925. The board voted on various motions including committee referrals, miner safety staffing, infirmary repairs, probate salary adjustments, and a high water meeting with Ontonagon County. The session adjourned to July 14, 1925. Ultra-violet rays were used secretly during the war for invisible signaling at night.
Board of County Road Commissioners Gogebic County Michigan met in Bessemer on June 9 1925 to declare that the Old County Road from Fourth Avenue to Colby Street will be taken over as a County Road. The road remains known as the Old County Road. Deputy County Clerk Luther Ek Sherman signed the notice dated June 19 1927. Ancient Roman statutes are incorporated as building stones beneath the Angora citadel walls.
