Bell Women To Study First Aid
The Michigan Bell Telephone Co extends its first aid training to women for the first time while 2,000 male employees already pursue Red Cross certificates. Over 1,000 women have enrolled for February classes in Detroit Grand Rapids and Saginaw directed by 15 female Red Cross instructors. Recount Votes in Township Bessemer Faces Challenge
The Township of Bessemer held an election on Monday February 16 and a petition from John Chlebowski claims ballots were improperly initiated. The canvassing board meets Wednesday February 25 to decide if disputed ballots are discarded or the issue is immaterial. Over 100 votes are alleged to have improper initiation by the inspector. The Ramsay town hall canvassed the primary totals last night and reported the board’s figures.
