Lac du Flambeau Man Held On Car Theft
Samuel B. LaBarge a 29 year old resident of Lac du Flambeau is held in Ironwood on charges of car theft under the National Motor Vehicle Theft Act. Police say he stole a car owned by Walter Point, drove it to Odanah on the Lac du Flambeau Indian Reservation, wrecked it east of the Ashland county line, abandoned the vehicle and walked back to Ironwood. The arrest occurred at Merriweather by state police with FBI pending further investigation.
