Steel Corporation's Earnings Decline and Dividends Declared

United States Steel Corporation reported total net earnings for the quarter ending December 31, 1912 of 35 185 115 after expenses and repairs. This compares to 30 063 512 in the prior quarter and marks the largest quarterly earnings since September 30, 1910. Dividends on common and preferred shares were declared at the week’s meeting with preferred at 14 percent payable February 27 and common at 14 percent payable March 29. Surplus for the last quarter was 7 410 970, giving yearly surplus 3 610 129.
