Davis Rites Are Held Last Friday
Funeral services for Frank E. Davis, who died last week, were held last Friday afternoon with Rev G. G. Curtis of Menominee officiating in the Frick Funeral Chapel. Interment was at Hillcrest cemetery, with Fred Brewer of Ironwood, commander of the John Bobb post of the Spanish American War Veterans, conducting the rites there. Pallbearers were Albin Bloom, Joseph Janov, Hjalmr Ekman, Halften Hansen, Conrad Velin, Alfred Roberts. Honorary pallbearers were members of John A. Bobb post and its auxiliary.

Erwin Township Man Reported War Casualty
Russell Erickson, 25, son of Mr and Mrs Erick Erickson of Erwin township, is listed as a war casualty. His parents were notified that he had been killed in action in New Guinea on December 4, 1942. Erickson entered the services in April 1941. The Ericksons have two other sons in service.
