Mrs. Elias Isotalo Dies at 87 in Wisconsin Home
Mrs. Elias Isotalo nee Rose Heikkila, 87, of Fairview Homes West US-2, died Saturday January 28 at Grand View Hospital after a month hospital stay. Born October 5 1879 in Vateli Finland she immigrated to the United States in 1913 settling first at Red Lodge Montana later moving to Gogebic Range residing Puritan Location and Bessemer. She married Elias Isotalo on October 21 1926. he died April 8 1955. Survived by nieces and nephews in Minnesota California and Florida. Funeral Tuesday at 2 pm Frick Zielinski Funeral Home Rev Oliver A Hallberg officiating burial Hillcrest Cemetery pallbearers named. Out of town attendees Victor Lager Nashwauk Minn and Arvid Heikkila Coleraine Minn. local rites attended by family and friends.

The Sharon Lutheran Church Women held a regular meeting at Eastman Hall. The Christian Action Committee outlined a February project a free will offering to fund a well supplied sick room. The LCW will serve a dinner February 5 after the 10 30 worship service for about 100 visiting skiers from Minneapolis. Circles were asked to provide three volunteers each. They voted to buy new drapes for the pastor's study. February and March circle meetings will be on the 14th instead of the 7th. Rebecca Circle to serve February meeting. The Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary reports 70 paid up members led by membership chair Bertha Rooks. MRS A OSSANNA DIES IN OAK PARK
Mrs A Ossanna dies at Oak Park at age 17 with her parents nearby. She married Lud wg Omienna at Norway in 1900 and they moved to Bessemer, living there for years. Mr Omienna was killed in an accident on US 2 in November 1935. Survived by two sons and one daughter. Remains to be brought to Frick Zielinski Funeral Home.

Italian Club Seeks Historical Data for UP Italian Americans
