May Sue State Over Venison Arrests in Michigan
Albert Donenstemm a Menominee businessman may sue the state game warden's department after being arrested in Channing for possessing venison. A hunter gave him the meat, seized en route to Menominee, and a new department ruling says venison may be given away during hunting season. Deputy Warden Bedell says the law allows it and restored one carcass. Alfred Lustfield of Crystal Falls was fined for shipping venison to his brother in law, but is now deemed within the law.

Old relic pistol tied to Custer Massacre found by city man
Richard Martin of this city owns an old army pistol linked to the Custer Massacre. Made by N. B. Johnson of Midland Connecticut in 1848 it bears 69 notches said to reflect victims. The pistol was found by Mr. Martin some time ago.
